The Current State Of The U.S. Housing Sector: Short-Term Clouds But Sunny Future
Last week I wrote a deep dive about Builders FirstSource ($BLDR) in which it was included a short discussion about short-term uncertainties and medium-to-long-term tailwinds affecting the U.S. housing sector. In order to not extend excessively that article, I tried to briefly expose those sectorial tailwinds and uncertainties, promising to expand on the explanation in a later article.
In that sense, the idea of this article is to comply with that promise and give a more comprehensive overview about the current situation of the U.S. housing sector and where it might be heading. The interesting part of this sector is that there are many aspects that invite to be really optimistic with its future, but it is facing some challenges in the short-term that could provide interesting entry points for some of the companies that comprise it (at the end of the article I will provide a list of those companies).
